Industry Certifications (nice to have): (more imp than Bachelors) * Juniper Networks Certified Associate/Professional (JNCIA/JNCIP) * Nokia Certification * Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) (Optional) * Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) (Optional) * CompTIA Network+ (Optional) * ITIL Foundation certification (Optional) Technical Skills * Strong understanding of IP network protocols such as OSPF, BGP, ISIS, segment routing, etc. * Proven ability to isolate and resolve issues in LAN, MAN, and WAN environments. * Familiarity with command-line interface (CLI) and GUI tools from vendors such as Juniper, Nokia etc * Expertise in working with automated provisioning, network telemetry, circuit documentation, ticketing, and testing/dispatch systems. * Able to understand IP networks using existing documentation and understanding of the system. * Able to perform IP Surveillance activities without any assistance Problem Solving and Decision Making * Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly identify problems and implement effective solutions. * Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. * Committed to continuous learning, including completing certifications and passing relevant exams. Other Requirements * Ability to follow and adhere to published work plans, processes, and procedures. * Normal color vision to work with color-coded diagrams and tools. * Willingness and ability to work in a shift-based environment, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in English (French is an asset). * Strong interpersonal skills to handle both positive and challenging customer interactions. * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment. * Maintain performance under time constraints and in rapidly changing situations. Security Requirements * Must meet applicable security clearance requirements ## Description Responsibilities:Technical * Perform detailed trouble analysis (remote testing, fault isolation, and resolution) for IP network elements using logs, alarms, operational metrics and tools * Perform break fix activities due to network failures. (due to any of the following: hardware, software, and firmware upgrades, network element commissioning, and product change upgrades). * Conduct preventive maintenance routines on IP network elements to maintain and improve network reliability. * Implement service and network element changes as directed to ensure the smooth functioning of the network. * Knowledge of core / distribution / access concepts and their troubleshooting and break/fix (includes NAT, GPON / DSLAMs, routing, hardware troubleshooting). * Work with vendors for issues Communications * Work closely with team members to resolve network issues efficiently and effectively. * Coordinate with on-site technicians who require assistance or are providing 'hands and feet' support for IP network assurance tasks. * Engage with stakeholders and team members to discuss network issues, troubleshoot details, and confirm resolutions. * Provide regular updates on issue progress, next steps, and any roadblocks. Administration * Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance routines, changes, and incidents related to IP network assurance. * Update corporate systems with real-time status updates, logs, and detailed information about ongoing issues and resolutions. * Submit time and expense reports promptly.
