Experience bridging infrastructure administration with application development and production support will be highly valuable. ## Description We are seeking an experienced Systems Architect Expert to support a large-scale government technology environment in Albany, NY. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience supporting business-critical processing systems, Unix/AIX environments, server administration, application deployment, database operations, and application development/support. This role requires a strong combination of systems architecture, infrastructure administration, application support, and development experience, with a proven background working in government environments., * Support and maintain business-critical systems within a government technology environment. * Analyze business and technical requirements and contribute to system design and architecture. * Administer and support UNIX/AIX-based environments. * Develop and maintain Shell scripts and scheduled CRON/Crontab jobs. * Support DB2 database environments and related application processing. * Deploy, administer, monitor, and troubleshoot applications hosted on enterprise servers. * Provide application maintenance, production support, and end-user support. * Develop and maintain applications using Visual Basic, .NET, and/or C#. * Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues and coordinate resolution across technical teams. * Ensure applications and systems remain stable, reliable, and aligned with business requirements., We have a 30 month Remote Systems Architect contract position.
