We are looking for a hands-on hardware test & validation engineer for the Wrist New Technology Introduction (NTI) team, responsible for bringing up new engineering dev boards (EDBs) and prototypes from bare board to a validated, functional state - power/rails, clocks, boot, and subsystem bring-up (BT/Wi-Fi SoC, camera, sensors, audio, RF) - and for building the bench automation and documentation that make results reproducible and hand-off-ready., Bring up EDBs / prototypes: current-limited power-on, rail verification and ripple, power-up sequencing, clock/reference validation, boot/console (UART or vendor debug), and subsystem checkout. Design bench setups and automate measurements in Python (VISA/SCPI, serial): inrush, power sequencing, current profiling, rail ripple, and datalogging. Characterize batteries and power delivery: cell chemistries, fuel-gauge configuration, discharge/cycle testing, brown-out/transient analysis, and battery emulation. Validate signal integrity and sensors: EMG/biopotential capture and PSD analysis, SPI/comms-noise debug, passive-intermodulation (PIM) testing, and interposer/FPC bring-up. Support PCB and packaging: impedance and capacitance characterization, coupon testing, design releases (Teamcenter), and contract-manufacturer / vendor coordination. Own documentation and handoff: living bring-up docs, gated test plans, data dictionaries, and reproducible result packages; triage issues and hand them off clearly to firmware and EE partners. ## Related Videos - [Playing Pong on a shoulder press machine](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100140-playing-pong-on-a-shoulder-press-machine) - [Android beyond mobile: Cars, TVs, and Wearables](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/553-android-beyond-mobile-cars-tvs-and-wearables) - [More efficient software for more efficient microchips](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1164-more-efficient-software-for-more-efficient-microchips) - [Agent Smith Gets Hardware: Autonomous IoT Hacking From Debug Port to Cloud API](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100258-agent-smith-gets-hardware-autonomous-iot-hacking-from-debug-port-to-cloud-api) - [Smart, Connected, Unexpected: The Wild Side of IoT and AI](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1113-smart-connected-unexpected-the-wild-side-of-iot-and-ai) - [Reality and Beyond: Coding a Drone Using {Unity 3D .NET} and ChatGPT AI!](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/702-reality-and-beyond-coding-a-drone-using-unity-3d-net-and-chatgpt-ai) ## Related Articles - [Where To Find Software Engineering Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/396-where-to-find-software-engineering-jobs) - [What is Software Engineering?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/289-what-is-software-engineering) - [Fully Remote Software Engineer Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/447-fully-remote-software-engineer-jobs) - [Is Software Engineering Hard?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/448-is-software-engineering-hard) - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [Is Software Engineering Over-Saturated?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/418-is-software-engineering-over-saturated)
