PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS + Doctoral degree in the physical sciences or engineering with some preference for those with expertise in electrical or computer science engineering. + Postdoctoral training in Engineering and Physical Sciences. + Between 2-3 years' experience in technology transfer. + Combination of business and academic/R&D experience in engineering or physical sciences. + Experience working in an academic environment and ability to interact well with faculty., Employment of successful candidates will be contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment criminal background check. The successful candidate must have U.S. Citizenship. ## Description Reporting to the Senior Director of Licensing at the Technology Commercialization the Technology Transfer Licensing Associate Services, this position will work closely with the OVPR's Technology Commercialization Services (TCS) technology office to evaluate and manage new inventions, licensing agreements, evaluate IP work with the patent council's office, and lead discussions for transactions, filings, and contract negotiation. The successful candidate will be energetic, accessible, responsive, and possess the ability to foster collaboration in a dynamic organizational culture to facilitate the translation of quantum science and research to market. The NSF Quantum Technologies Engine in Connecticut (QuantumCT Engine), led by the University of Connecticut, aims to advance American quantum innovation and secure the domestic quantum supply chain by accelerating the commercialization of quantum technologies for national defense, biotechnology and financial services.
