Experience may be considered in lieu of education, * Possess knowledge of systems engineering standards and best practices, including the systems engineering "V" * Possess knowledge of DoD and / or NRO acquisition processes * Proven ability to manage programmatic mechanisms, e.g. risk and opportunity management board (ROMB), engineering review board (ERB) * Demonstrated ability to conduct analysis and evaluations of contractor technical solutions and schedule impacts * Aptitude in preparing analytical aids, briefings, reports and presentations * Skilled / comfortable working in high-tempo environment, able to be flexible and to adjust to dynamic technical and/or fiscal challenges Desired experience and skills * Previous experience in an Intelligence Community SETA role * Previous experience as a Systems Engineer * Ability to assess/analyze requirements versus budget, and ability to recommend alternatives that fit within given budget * Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users / customers * Excellent technical writing and oral communication skills * Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Project ## Description SAIC has an opening for top talent to join our team supporting a joint program office customer at the NRO as a full-time Acquisitions Systems Engineer. The position is in a Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) functional role. Qualified candidates must have a current TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph. The successful applicant must provide technical expertise, continuity of effort and value-added judgment to advise customers on the acquisition of a satellite program.
