## About the Role

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
 * At least 10 years of experience in embedded systems development, with a focus on safety-critical software (DO-178C).
 * Proven track record of managing teams with similar skills and experience.
 * Excellent communication and mentoring skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

## Description

* Lead a small team of embedded software engineers in the design, development, and testing of software for our products.
 * Oversee the entire software development process, from requirements gathering to deployment, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the required safety standards (DO-178C).
 * Manage multiple projects with a Design Assurance Level (DAL) C or higher, including ensuring proper design reviews, testing, and validation.
 * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of software into our products.
 * Develop and maintain the technical vision for our embedded software products, including identifying new technologies and opportunities for improvement.
 * Mentor and coach junior engineers, providing guidance on best practices, coding standards, and project management techniques.
 * Ensure that all team members have the necessary skills and training to meet the requirements of DO-178C and other relevant industry standards.
 * Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including technical leads, project managers, and external partners, to ensure alignment and progress on projects.
