## About the Role

* Proficiency in Python, SQL, and applied data science methods.
 * Experience building models, pipelines, or analytic workflows using large or complex datasets.
 * Strong foundation in statistics, algorithms, data structures, and data modeling.
 * Experience working in cloud, distributed, or clustered computing environments.
 * Bachelor's degree in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred / Role-Specific Qualifications:

 * Experience with machine learning, deep learning, NLP, or text analytics tools and frameworks.
 * Experience with AWS, cloud-enabled data workflows, or large-scale parallel processing platforms.
 * Experience with geospatial analytics, Java development, CI/CD tools, or production machine learning systems.

Experience Levels:

Expert candidates independently build and deploy models, pipelines, and analytic workflows within a domain area.

SME candidates define analytic methodology, design scalable architectures, mentor team members, and lead delivery for complex data science and machine learning solutions.

Analyze complex datasets; design data models, pipelines, and analytic workflows; develop, validate, and deploy machine learning, statistical, NLP, and geospatial models; integrate analytical tools into existing systems, dataflows, or cloud infrastructure; and communicate findings clearly to technical, mission, customer, and business stakeholders.
