Desirable * Experience working specifically within Business Intelligence, Data, or Analytics teams, with an understanding of BI lifecycle, dependencies, and operational challenges. * Exposure to product-based delivery models, including cocreating and communicating product roadmaps. * Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives across delivery or operational functions. * Familiarity with BI platform operations (e.g. reporting schedules, data refreshes, dependencies, access models), even if not hands on. * Relevant professional qualifications or training in delivery management, project management, or service management (e.g. Agile, Scrum, PRINCE2, ITIL), or equivalent experience. Operational Excellence & Stability Ensures day to day operations run smoothly by: * Maintaining reliable processes * Supports day to day BI operations by monitoring agreed operational activities, logging incidents and risks, escalating concerns, and ensuring agreed escalation processes are followed. * Ensuring continuity of service and minimal disruption * Provide visibility of delivery and BI operational health, risks, and trends to BI leadership and stakeholders. 3. BI Operating Model & Standard Operating Procedures Maintain and apply the BI operating model and standard operating procedures, supporting consistent ways of working across the BI function. 4. Leadership & Development of BI Administrators Supports the BI Administrators by allocating day to day tasks, clarifying priorities set by BI leadership, and escalating performance or capability concerns through appropriate management channels. 5. Planning, Prioritisation & Capacity Management Supports planning processes by maintaining delivery trackers, capacity views, and status updates, providing inputs to planning discussions led by BI leadership. 6. Delivery Governance & Ways of Working Applies agreed delivery frameworks and ways of working, supporting compliance with reporting, governance, and assurance requirements. 7. Continuously Improve Delivery Mechanism Identifies recurring operational issues and assists with documenting improvement opportunities for consideration by BI leadership. Planning, Prioritisation & Capacity Thinking * Maintains delivery schedules, capacity views, and workload trackers. * Provides accurate inputs to planning discussions led by BI leadership. * Supports transparency by producing clear, up-to-date delivery information. Governance & Ways of Working * Applies agreed delivery frameworks, standards, and ways of working. * Supports governance processes by maintaining documentation and delivery artefacts. * Ensures reporting and delivery activities align with agreed controls and expectations. Stakeholder Communication & Expectation Management * Provides clear, accurate updates on delivery status and operational activity. * Uses agreed formats and templates to communicate plans, progress, and issues. * Supports stakeholder confidence through consistency and transparency. People & Team Enablement * Leads and supports BI Administrators, enabling high-quality operational delivery. * Creates the conditions for BI Engineers and Managers to focus on building capability and insight. * Encourages collaboration, accountability, and shared ownership across teams.
