Application-security or cybersecurity experience is helpful, but not required. ## Description As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will build the product experiences and systems that make AI-powered security useful in real engineering environments. You will work across web surfaces, APIs, orchestration, data models, and integrations to help security and engineering teams move from a codebase or application to evidence-backed findings, prioritized remediation, and revalidation. You will collaborate closely with product engineers, security researchers, and customer-facing teams. The work spans fast-moving product development and hard systems problems: long-running workflows, large repositories, sensitive data, reliability, observability, and a high bar for earning user trust. This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees. In this role, you will: * Build end-to-end workflows for vulnerability discovery, security scanning, red teaming, findings review, remediation, and reruns. * Design and operate backend services for long-running security work, including APIs, asynchronous orchestration, durable state, and integrations with developer workflows. * Make complex security results actionable through clear product surfaces, strong evidence, thoughtful prioritization, and reliable reporting. * Partner with security researchers, product teams, and users to evaluate quality, reduce noise, improve coverage, and ship safely. ## Related Videos - [Lessons learned from observing a billion API requests](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1574-lessons-learned-from-observing-a-billion-api-requests) - [Developing the Backend with Stefan Lingler, CTO at Shpock](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100360-developing-the-backend-with-stefan-lingler-cto-at-shpock) - [How to Cause (or Prevent) a Massive Data Breach- Secure Coding and IDOR](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/39-how-to-cause-or-prevent-a-massive-data-breach-secure-coding-and-idor) - [Thinking Differently - How to Make Money from Cyber Attacks & Cheats](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/745-thinking-differently-how-to-make-money-from-cyber-attacks-cheats) - [The New AI Security Stack: Observe, Detect, Protect](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100302-the-new-ai-security-stack-observe-detect-protect) - [Nest.js - TypeScript in the backend can also be clean](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1033-nest-js-typescript-in-the-backend-can-also-be-clean) ## Related Articles - [Navigating the AI Shift](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/629-navigating-the-ai-shift) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [Dev Digest 137 - AI'm not sure about this](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/485-dev-digest-137-ai-m-not-sure-about-this) - [What is Software Engineering in the Age of AI?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/640-what-is-software-engineering-in-the-age-of-ai) - [Dev Digest 134 - Where pixels sing?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/477-dev-digest-134-where-pixels-sing) - [Highest Paying Tech Companies for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/220-highest-paying-tech-companies-for-developers)
