Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions., * Comprehensive in-depth knowledge and understanding of the principles, practices, and procedures of public school system policies * Comprehensive knowledge of educational standards, pedagogical theories, and best practices in teaching and learning * Comprehensive knowledge on how to utilize appropriate data and information to make decisions * Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of various learning styles, curriculum development and program evaluation, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis, and research related to technology and learning * Thorough knowledge of implementing technology systems, devices, training, and support in a K-12 environment * Knowledge in digital tools to support learning pedagogy * Knowledge of and proficiency with instructional technology tools, learning management systems, and multimedia resources * Skilled in the use of current software to include word processing, spreadsheets, and desktop publishing applications * Skilled in supporting large-scale IT initiatives within an educational environment including direct decision-making regarding computer hardware to support teaching and learning in an educational environment * Skilled in developing materials, conducting training, workshops and presentations to educate and disseminate information to educators * Ability to learn and use specialized tools, equipment or software related to business and instructional needs * Ability to implement local, state, and federal rules, guidelines, and procedures into daily business operations * Ability to communicate effectively * Ability to reason, make judgments, and maintain effective working relationships * Ability to employ positive communication skills in all settings/mediums * Ability to problem-solve utilizing sound judgment * Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding school system business * Ability to take initiative, work independently, and exercise sound judgement, * Master's degree in education or related field required * Valid NC teaching license with 077 Instructional Technology Specialist area required * Certified Educational Technology Leader (CETL), preferred * Certified Government Chief Information Officer, (CGCIO), preferred * Minimum of five years of experience in teaching, curriculum development/instructional design, or educational leadership required * Equivalent combination of education and experience Special Requirements * Possess and maintain a valid driver's license or ability to provide own transportation * Travel to school district buildings and professional meetings ## Description The senior manager of educational technology support, under intermittent supervision, performs intermediate-level work with intermediate decision-making discretion planning, coordinating, and implementing short-and long-range plans for the integration of technology into instructional programs and professional development that promotes excellence and supports transformational change throughout the K-12 instructional environment.
