## Description

We're partnering with a highly regarded technology-driven firm seeking a skilled Database Engineer with deep expertise in PostgreSQL. This is a hands-on role within a global team tasked with supporting high-performance, highly available systems.

You'll play a key role in designing, deploying, and maintaining cross-platform database solutions across a mix of open-source and enterprise technologies. Collaborating closely with developers, infrastructure engineers, and investment professionals, your work will directly impact core business functions.

What You'll Be Doing:

 * Engineer for reliability, scale, and performance, with a focus on automation and DevOps principles
 * Design and implement backup, HA, and disaster recovery strategies
 * Tune queries and optimize performance at both the system and code levels
 * Collaborate across multiple internal teams on infrastructure and architecture decisions
 * Leverage scripting (Python, Ruby, or Perl) for automation and operational tasks
 * Own projects from design to deployment within an agile, fast-paced environment
