## About the Role

NetApp experience is a must

Hands-on engineering experience with NetApp and other storage technologies and concepts (Storage Area Network - SAN & Network Attached Storage - NAS)

Bachelor's degree and 12 years of experience, an Associates and 15 years, or 20 years of experience with no degree.

**IAT Level 2 Certification Required*

## Description

* Design, architect, configure, deploy, upgrade, and support various storage and backup platforms and associated management tools.
 * Diagnose and troubleshoot storage systems and related technologies.
 * Adhere to engineering and architecture standards and participate in technical review meetings as required.
 * Participate in the evaluation, deployment, management, and integration of new technologies in collaboration with engineers, architects, and technical service teams.
 * Provide incident support and participate in on-call rotations during off-hours and weekends.
 * Create and maintain technical documentation, including:
 * Logical and physical diagrams
 * Run books
 * Engineering and operational documentation
 * Demonstrate initiative and commitment to optimizing systems and processes.
 * Oversee the installation of new storage hardware and software in accordance with standard operating procedures.
 * Manage updates to hardware, operating systems, and software to ensure required functionality and security.
 * Ensure systems are properly monitored and that metrics related to capacity, performance, utilization, and availability are regularly collected and reviewed.
 * Stay current on developments in storage and backup technologies to help Federal staff assess future technology direction and strategy.
