Their mission is to solve tough, real-world problems in retail by providing immediate, scalable, and accurate in-store visibility through their proprietary platform. This platform is powered by a Computer Vision engine that creatively leverages synthetic data, large vision models, and smart pipelines. They are now looking for a Computer Vision Tech Lead to take a pivotal role in scaling their vision AI product. We need a hands-on leader with deep technical experience, scientific rigor, and a product-aware mindset to turn complex vision problems into practical, scalable solutions. What you'll do * Drive model development from the initial idea through to deployment. You will lead the design, training, and optimisation of Computer Vision models for detection, recognition, segmentation, and tracking tasks. * Own the evolution of our in-house LVM efforts, shaping it into a best-in-class system by improving its performance, reliability, and scalability. This includes designing and deploying a highly generalisable LVM tailored for retail. * Advance our synthetic data generation pipeline, focusing on scaling diversity, improving generalisation, and applying domain adaptation strategies to boost model robustness. * Work with Product, Infrastructure, and Customer teams to deliver models that integrate seamlessly into field workflows. You will align technical direction with business goals through technical leadership - without any line management responsibilities. * Champion practical engineering and good data practices, ensuring clean, reliable, and well-managed data is at the heart of all model development. Use PyTorch (or similar frameworks) for rigorous, fast experimentation. ## Related Videos - [Focoos AI: Building the Future of Computer Vision](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1659-focoos-ai-building-the-future-of-computer-vision) - [Machine learning in the browser with TensorFlowjs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/155-machine-learning-in-the-browser-with-tensorflowjs) - [Photonic Computing: Programming a New Class of AI Accelerators (incl.
