## About the Role

* Previous experience as a Design Engineer within automotive, vehicle conversion, specialist vehicles or manufacturing.
 * Strong CAD experience using SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, CATIA or similar.
 * Experience producing manufacturing drawings and documentation.
 * Understanding of mechanical design, fabrication and manufacturing processes.
 * Knowledge of automotive electrical systems would be advantageous.
 * HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent engineering experience.

## Description

* Design bespoke vehicle conversion solutions for police and emergency service vehicles.
 * Produce detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings.
 * Design brackets, mounting systems, equipment installations and vehicle modifications.
 * Support electrical and electronic equipment integration.
 * Produce BOMs, technical specifications and engineering documentation.
 * Ensure designs meet customer requirements and relevant safety standards.
 * Work closely with production, procurement and installation teams.
 * Support prototype builds, testing and product validation.
 * Resolve manufacturing issues.
 * Manage engineering changes and drawing revisions.
