**Published:** August 30, 2026 - **Apply:** https://www.collegerecruiter.com/job/2815388395-data-operations-analyst ## About the Role * Strong SQL skills for data extraction, manipulation and uploads * Advanced Excel skills including VBA/macros and automation * Proven experience cleaning, validating and standardising datasets * Strong attention to detail with a control-focused mindset * Ability to understand complex system workflows and dependencies * Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities * Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders, * Minimum 1 year's experience in investment management, wealth management, fintech or financial services (including placement year experience) * Hands-on experience in operational data processing, automation and data quality management desirable, * Ownership mentality and accountability for deliverables * Analytical and problem-solving mindset * Process-driven with a continuous improvement approach * High levels of accuracy and numeracy * Logical and investigative approach to identifying root causes * Able to work independently and use initiative * Flexible, reliable and collaborative team member, * Willingness to work towards relevant financial services qualifications This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong, detail-oriented data professional looking to build their career within a growing investment management environment where quality, integrity and teamwork are highly valued. ## Description * Own and deliver core data processes supporting Model Portfolio, Bespoke Portfolio and consultancy services * Extract, transform and upload reporting data across multiple systems * Daily transaction feeds * Reconciliation and performance files Automation & Technical Development * Develop and maintain Excel automation and SQL extraction processes * VBA/macros for recurring workflows * Process efficiency improvements * Data validation and control checks Data Quality & Control * Clean, validate and standardise datasets in line with internal procedures * Client set-ups and client details * Transaction classifications * Relationship and account structures * Naming conventions and reference data * Write and maintain data rules within the firm's Data Control Infrastructure (DCI) tool * Investigate and resolve data quality exceptions Operational & Regulatory Support * Document and map end-to-end system dependencies across operational, investment and reporting platforms * Deliver quarterly and tax year-end data cleansing to support regulatory and client reporting * Support daily operational processes within a small team * Ensure all duties are completed in line with internal controls to minimise operational and data risk Additional Duties * Provide ad-hoc support to the Senior Operations Manager and wider Operations Team * Assist with general office duties when required (e.g. greeting clients, answering calls, basic IT support) * Contribute to a positive and supportive team culture * Attend first aid and fire marshal training ## Related Videos -
