* Detailed understanding of Oracle Database operational running and replication
 * Strong command of SQL and SQL toolsets
 * Knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards
 * Unix Shell scripting
 * Understanding of relational data modelling
 * Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge
 * Good written and verbal communications
 * Experience with Unix environments
 * Must have an IT-related Degree
 * Familiarity with Cloud hosted database environments
 * Experience with other database technologies (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Neo4j)
 * Experience with any computer language

Technical Skills

We'll assess you against these technical skills during the selection process:

 * Experience with a relational database management system (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL Server)
 * Experience with a Linux or UNIX-based OS

## Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for performance tuning of database systems, developing processes for optimizing database security, diagnosing and troubleshooting database errors, and recommending emerging database technologies.
