A strong candidate will have most of the following: * A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience. * Full-stack range: you can design a system, build it across the stack, deploy it, and operate it. You are comfortable owning UI, APIs, persistence, and distributed systems, not just one slice. * Scale and distributed systems: a track record of building and supporting web services at scale, with an eye for durability, performance, and observability. * DevOps and delivery: Docker, CI/CD (Jenkins or similar), Kubernetes, and a major cloud platform (AWS primarily; Azure or GCP a plus), with meaningful monitoring. * Languages: strong TypeScript and Node.js with React. Comfort in another backend language (Go, Java, Python, or similar) is a plus. * Frontend depth: extensible, customer-facing UI/UX built with React, modern JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern CSS layout. * Collaboration: you communicate technical ideas clearly and work well across a multi-functional team. ## Description * Using and building agentic and AI-assisted workflows to stand up prototypes and internal tooling fast, not just talking about them. * Internal developer tooling that other engineers actually adopted. * 3D on the web (WebGL/WebGPU, three.js or Babylon.js) or real-time interactive rendering. * 3D interchange formats and pipelines (USD/OpenUSD, glTF/GLB), or 3D capture, photogrammetry, or Gaussian-splat pipelines. * Multi-cloud experience (Azure, GCP) and infrastructure as code. * Contributions to open-source projects. Who tends to thrive here The person in this role treats delivery speed and system health as things to ship, not chores. They are as comfortable in a design discussion as in a production incident, and they turn conversations into working software instead of documents. If you are a builder who likes the seam between platform and product, and you want to help define where enterprise 3D on the web goes next, you will fit. ## Related Videos - [Docker Compose: Rediscovered](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1978-docker-compose-rediscovered) - [Go with the Flow: Stop the Leaks Before Your Memory's a Waterfall!](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100073-go-with-the-flow-stop-the-leaks-before-your-memory-s-a-waterfall) - [Rendering Design Software in the Browser at Penpot](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1353-rendering-design-software-in-the-browser-at-penpot) - [Web development best practices in 2021](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/280-web-development-best-practices-in-2021) - [Docker build without Docker](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100114-docker-build-without-docker) - [Scoring 2000 Products per Request: Performance Pitfalls in Golang](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/2073-scoring-2000-products-per-request-performance-pitfalls-in-golang) ## Related Articles - [16 Best Free React UI Libraries in 2025](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/148-16-best-free-react-ui-libraries-in-2025) - [React Developer Salary [2023]](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/198-react-developer-salary-2023) - [Is Software Engineering Over-Saturated?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/418-is-software-engineering-over-saturated) - [Highest Paying Tech Companies for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/220-highest-paying-tech-companies-for-developers) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [What’s the Difference Between Frontend and Backend Development?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/240-what-s-the-difference-between-frontend-and-backend-development)
