**Published:** August 30, 2026 - **Apply:** https://www.dice.com/job-detail/51cf22d3-07cf-4054-8e1e-9475e1010cfe ## About the Role * 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering or storage engineering * Hands-on experience with at least one public cloud (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) * Understanding of cloud storage services (object, file, block ), * 5+ years of experience designing and managing cloud-based storage solutions * Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform preferred) * Knowledge of security, compliance, and governance frameworks in cloud environments * Experience supporting application onboarding and cloud adoption at scale * Familiarity with cost optimization and cloud financial management (FinOps) * Experience integrating solutions into CI/CD pipelines Desired Qualifications * Multi-cloud experience (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) * Knowledge of data lifecycle management, backup, and archival strategies * Experience with Kubernetes and container storage integrations * Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools * Background in large enterprise or regulated environments, * Cloud architecture and design * Storage engineering (object, file, block) * Terraform / Infrastructure-as-Code * Governance, risk, and compliance * Cost optimization and FinOps * Automation and scripting (Python preferred) * Cross-functional collaboration ## Description * Design and implement standardized cloud storage architectures across public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) * Develop and enforce governance, security, and compliance controls for cloud storage services * Support application onboarding, ensuring alignment with storage standards and best practices * Engineer and manage cloud-native storage patterns, including: + Object storage (S3, Blob, GCS) + File services (managed NFS/SMB) + Block storage for cloud workloads * Optimize cost, performance, and scalability of cloud storage solutions * Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) templates (Terraform) for consistent deployments * Automate provisioning and lifecycle management of storage resources * Partner with DevOps and platform teams to integrate storage into CI/CD pipelines * Monitor usage and enforce cost management and optimization strategies * Drive standardization and continuous improvement across cloud storage services, * Establish reference architectures and design standards for cloud storage * Implement policy-driven governance (security, access controls, encryption, retention) * Enable self-service provisioning capabilities for application teams * Ensure alignment with enterprise risk, security, and compliance frameworks * Support multi-cloud and hybrid storage integration patterns * Provide technical guidance and support for large-scale cloud adoption initiatives, * Deliver scalable, secure, and standardized cloud storage solutions * Enable consistent and repeatable deployments through automation * Improve governance, cost control, and operational efficiency * Support enterprise cloud adoption and modernization initiatives ## Related Videos -
