Experience with: Postman IntelliJ ## Description We are seeking a highly motivated Java Backend Developer to support a critical security remediation initiative within our Life Insurance technology organization. This consultant will play a key role in enhancing and securing backend services responsible for policy package and document generation while contributing to automation modernization efforts. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-impact applications within a large enterprise environment while partnering with cross-functional teams across development, QA, product, and business operations. Responsibilities: Develop, enhance, and maintain Java-based backend applications. Remediate application security vulnerabilities and implement security best practices. Build and support REST APIs using Spring Boot. Troubleshoot performance, configuration, and production support issues. Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and fellow developers. Assist in modernizing test automation frameworks from Selenium to Playwright. Support automation initiatives and future AI-driven testing capabilities. Participate in code reviews and contribute to overall application architecture and design decisions. Demonstrate ownership of deliverables and proactively identify opportunities to improve team processes and application stability.
