Ability to work with minimal supervision and exercise independent judgment. * Possess interpersonal skills to drive collaboration, commitment and productivity when working with cross-functional teams, customers and end users. Must be comfortable functioning in a virtual, collaborative shared leadership environment. * Demonstrates superior written and verbal communication and presentation skills appropriate for audience comprehension. Well-developed communication skills, both written and oral, that may be used either in an on-site or virtual environment are required. Strong problem-solving skills. * Act 33/34 and FBI clearances * Pre-Employment Drug Screen * Valid driver's license ## Description The Senior Manager, Quality Performance Improvement leads Pittsburgh Mercy's enterprise-wide approach to quality, performance improvement, and organizational learning. This role is responsible for helping the organization assess performance, identify emerging risks and opportunities, and ensure that improvement initiatives result in measurable, sustainable outcomes. Working in close partnership with clinical, operational, and executive leaders, the Senior Manager integrates data analytics, frontline insights, patient and client feedback, regulatory requirements, and strategic priorities to inform decision-making and drive organizational excellence across Pittsburgh Mercy's diverse service lines. Serving as both a strategic advisor and a leader of improvement initiatives, this position guides programs from problem identification through solution implementation and sustainment. The role is focused on advancing care quality, patient and client safety, access, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and overall outcomes while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning throughout the organization. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Quality and Performance Management * Lead Pittsburgh Mercy's Quality Improvement Program and Annual Quality Plan, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and continuous improvement objectives. * Align quality priorities with organizational strategy, accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, payer expectations, and performance goals. * Facilitate quality governance activities and provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership to drive organizational performance and accountability. * Develop, implement, and maintain enterprise-wide performance measurement systems, dashboards, scorecards, and reporting structures. * Establish and oversee standardized metrics, data definitions, and governance practices to ensure data accuracy, consistency, transparency, and informed decision-making. * Analyze clinical, operational, financial, quality, workforce, safety, and patient experience data to identify trends, performance gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement. * Utilize internal and external benchmarks, industry standards, and best practices to evaluate organizational performance, identify improvement opportunities, and inform strategic decision-making. * Establish proactive monitoring systems to identify emerging operational, quality, safety, workforce, access, and patient experience concerns before they are reflected in formal performance reports. * Monitor incidents, grievances, adverse events, complaints, and other performance indicators to identify patterns, risks, and opportunities for intervention. * Communicate findings, insights, and actionable recommendations to organizational leaders and support the development and implementation of effective response strategies and improvement initiatives.
