Router, wireless Access Points, switches, patch panels. ## Description Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm Monitors and troubleshoots all hardware, peripheral components and software applications in the FC/DC. Ensures functionality and coordinates servicing as necessary. Interfaces with Home Office Systems Division regarding the installation and operation of FC/DC hardware, peripheral components and software applications. Provides technical assistance to FC/DC users. Major Areas of Responsibility: * Monitors and troubleshoots all FC/DC computer, telecommunications (voice and data) and copier hardware to include; printers, terminals, RF units, controllers, IDF cabinets, to ensure continuous operation within the FC/DC. * Ensures all network components are operational, makes repairs, adjustments, and reconfigures systems as needed. * Serves a Project Leader for various systematic / operational projects within the Distribution Center. Reports status of projects to IT Supervisor and FIT Manager. * Assists Systems Supervisor in making recommendations concerning installations, continued maintenance and planning of current projects. * Maintains comprehensive and detailed records of equipment inventory, problems and failures. Coordinates preventative maintenance and / or corrective programs with vendor service personnel. * Installs necessary communication equipment. Installs cable lines and configures systems, as deemed necessary. Cleans equipment as needed. * Functional working knowledge of Microsoft office programs and office tools to troubleshoot and communicate computer concerns * Sets up individual user computers/workstations and peripheral devices on network. Identifies and resolves problems, cleans and reconfigures equipment, makes repairs and/or coordinates service. * Monitors software applications and file server to ensure functionality. Installs software and performs systems backups. Interfaces with Home Office Systems Division regarding application operations. * Provides training and technical assistance to FC/DC users as necessary.
