## About the Role

* A university degree in a natural science, engineering, mathematics or computer science
 * Good knowledge and experience with the usage of Linux systems
 * Experience with performance analysis of HPC applications
 * Experience with HPC programming models, e.g. MPI, OpenMP, CUDA, etc.
 * Good knowledge and experience with C, C++, or Fortran
 * Very good command of English, spoken and written

Ideal candidates additionally have:

 * Very good knowledge in the use of HPC systems
 * Experience with HPC performance analysis tools, e.g. Vampir, Scalasca, Paraver
 * Experience with the parallelisation and optimisation of HPC applications
 * Experience in collaborative software development with Github/Gitlab, as well as CI/Jenkins, etc.
 * Good command of German, spoken and written

## Description

As a member of the group "Scalable Programming Models & Tools" you will analyze the performance of user codes, formulate recommendations for performance optimization, develop efficient optimization strategies, and assist users to implement these recommendations.
