In this role, you will design, build, and support the systems, data pipelines, databases, and analytics platforms that power the District's core business processes. This position works across both SAP and Microsoft ecosystems-supporting critical applications, delivering reliable data solutions, and ensuring secure, efficient, and high quality operations. You will collaborate closely with business units, technical teams, and vendors to deliver solutions that meet customer needs while contributing to the development, reliability, and modernization of our data landscape. The incumbent will become a technical solution owner for the technologies team is responsible for supporting. The incumbent is not required to be knowledgeable on all preferred technical skills or supported products listed at date of hire., Data Integration & Warehousing * Develop and maintain ETL processes and integrations across SAP and Microsoft platforms. * Build and support data warehouses, data models, views, and complex queries. * Evaluate, design, support, document, and test system interfaces and data flows. Database Administration * Perform database design, modeling, configuration, upgrades, patching, and security administration. * Coordinate backups, recovery strategies, and performance optimization. * Support both on-premise and cloud-aligned data technologies. Analytics & Reporting * Support and develop reporting and analytics using SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Analysis for Office, and Microsoft PowerBI. * Build and enhance reporting structures that improve data accessibility and business insights. Technical Leadership & Collaboration * Partner with business units to translate requirements into successful technical solutions. * Provide guidance and coaching to peers and business unit customers on best practices and data processes. * Manage relationships with vendors and consultants providing contracted technical services. * Participate in the full project lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, deployment, updates, security, and ongoing support. Operational Support * Provide on-call and after-hours system support, as needed. Carry a mobile communications device and perform duties from remote locations such as home and during business travel, when applicable., Obtain and maintain intermediate to advanced technical certification aligned with key business system platform(s) used at the District (for example, SAP, Microsoft Certifications, and Security related best practices) as applicable., Technical Analyst: Analyze, design, develop, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and provide direction and support for complex systems, applications and databases in support of the District's computing environment. Provide technical architecture recommendations and apply best practices in system design, development, and testing. Collaborate with/advise/coach other ET/Corporate Security and business unit analysts to ensure understanding of business and technical work processes, tools, and best practices. Evaluate, create, document, and test complex system-related interfaces and integration. Maintains efficient and effective management of vendor contract service relationships pertaining to technical services. Provide 24/7 system support, as needed. Systems Analyst: In addition to being proficient in all duties of the Technical Analyst, the Systems Analyst will also be responsible for the following duties: Lead special task groups, trouble-shooting efforts, and integration and/or improvement project teams. Lead the development and implementation of training and communications plans/materials., In addition to being proficient in all duties of the Technical and Systems Analyst, the Senior Systems Analyst will also be responsible for the following duties: Proven understanding of key NPPD business unit activities and successful application of ET/Corporate Security technical solution design, development, and responsive customer support and service. Work closely with ET/Corporate Security management to oversee and lead resolution of complex technical challenges and new business system initiatives.
