Project Governance & Artefacts * Personally author and maintain the Project Charter, Project Plan, and RAID log (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) - not merely review artefacts produced by others * Establish and run project governance cadence: steering committees, status reporting, gate reviews * Maintain a single source of truth for project scope, baseline, and change control 2. Financial Management * Review and own project financial KPIs - budget vs. actual, margin, effort burn, invoicing milestones * Flag financial risks early and work with the Programme Manager on mitigation and forecasting * Support commercial governance including change requests and scope-related cost impacts 4. Risk & Issue Management * Own the RAID log end-to-end: identify, log, assess impact, assign owners, and drive closure * Escalate appropriately to the Programme Manager with clear options and recommendations, not just problem statements 5. Stakeholder & Customer Management * Act as the primary representative and all customer interactions at the project level * Build and maintain trusted relationships with client project sponsors, workstream leads, and delivery counterparts * Manage customer expectations proactively, ensuring transparency on progress, risks, and issues 6. Team & Delivery Leadership * Coordinate and direct functional/technical consultants and workstream leads to ensure delivery against plan * Ensure quality of deliverables through structured review checkpoints * Support resource planning and utilisation in coordination with delivery leadership Reporting Line Reports directly to the Programme Manager, providing regular project status, financial health, and risk updates, and escalating matters requiring programme-level or account-level intervention. ## Related Videos - [Develop on Windows, Deploy on Red Hat Enterprise Linux](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1600-develop-on-windows-deploy-on-red-hat-enterprise-linux) - [The journey from developer to devops - what i've learnt along the way](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/238-the-journey-from-developer-to-devops-what-i-ve-learnt-along-the-way) - [Leave it to the Dutch: How to save on your Azure bill!](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1530-leave-it-to-the-dutch-how-to-save-on-your-azure-bill) - [Building Well-Architected applications](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/691-building-well-architected-applications) - [Seriously gaming your cloud expertise: from cloud tourist to cloud native](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/373-seriously-gaming-your-cloud-expertise-from-cloud-tourist-to-cloud-native) - [Easy Mode Monitoring and Logging with Shiftmon](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/2114-easy-mode-monitoring-and-logging-with-shiftmon) ## Related Articles - [What Are The Top Skills Required For Azure Developers?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/77-what-are-the-top-skills-required-for-azure-developers) - [7 Cloud Computing Trends Coming in 2025 for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/412-7-cloud-computing-trends-coming-in-2025-for-developers) - [Best Companies to work for in London: Top 25 Companies in 2023](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/187-best-companies-to-work-for-in-london-top-25-companies-in-2023) - [5 Step Guide to Managing New Job Expectations](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/343-5-step-guide-to-managing-new-job-expectations) - [Should Tech Managers Be Developers First?
