You have/are A Master in IT, Engineering, Data, Business Engineering or a related field. Experience in Data Analysis, Data Modelling, Data Warehousing or a similar domain. Strong SQL skills. Good understanding of relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL. Experience with data modelling concepts and methodologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail. The confidence to challenge stakeholders and drive discussions forward. Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex concepts into clear solutions. Fluency in English in addition to French/Dutch Nice to have Experience with Data Vault modelling. Knowledge of Data Mesh principles. Experience with PowerDesigner or similar data modelling tools. Exposure to Data Governance practices. Experience working in a large and complex enterprise environment. ## Description For one of our leading clients in the financial services sector, we are looking for a Functional Data Engineer who wants to play a key role in a large-scale data transformation journey. In this role, you act as the link between business stakeholders and technical data engineers, ensuring data requirements are translated into clear models and actionable solutions. Your responsibilities: Analyse business requirements and translate them into clear data solutions. Identify, assess and document data sources across multiple domains.
