Agent guide: [/agents.md](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/agents.md). --- # Senior Embedded Software Engineer - Smart Cameras & Vision - **Company:** Macq - **Location:** Brussel, Belgium - **Experience:** Expert - **Contract:** Permanent contract - **Skills:** C++ (Programming Language), Encodings, Nvidia CUDA, Linux on Embedded Systems, Embedded Software, Python (Programming Language), OpenCV, Software Architecture, Sensor Fusion, Data Streaming, Information Technology, Low Latency, TensorRT, U-Boot, C++14, Lidar - **Published:** August 12, 2026 - **Apply:** https://be.indeed.com/viewjob?jk=3746ef730a4b74a8 ## About the Role * You have a Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or you are equal by experience * Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded software development, ideally in vision or imaging * Strong proficiency in Modern C++ and Python * In-depth knowledge of embedded Linux * Expertise in image processing (OpenCV or similar) and real-time pipelines * Solid understanding of real-time constraints and low-level optimization * Fundamentals of security for embedded and connected systems * Autonomous, with technical leadership skills and a collaborative mindset * You are fluent in English; French and/or Dutch is a plus Also nice to have: * Hands-on experience with the NVIDIA Jetson ecosystem (JetPack, DeepStream, TensorRT) * Experience with multi-sensor fusion (camera-camera, camera-LiDAR, camera-radar) and state estimation (e.g. Kalman filtering) * Knowledge of embedded security practices (secure boot, encryption, secure communication, system hardening) ## Description * Design the embedded software architecture of our smart cameras on NVIDIA Jetson platforms * Develop and optimize real-time image processing and analysis pipelines * Develop and integrate modules in C++ and Python on embedded Linux * Handle camera stream acquisition and processing (calibration, pre-processing, encoding) * Design and implement sensor fusion between multiple sources (additional cameras, LiDAR, radar) for robust detection * Deploy and optimize vision/inference models on the edge (TensorRT, CUDA) * Apply security best practices to our embedded systems and data flows * Optimize performance: real-time constraints, latency, memory footprint, power consumption * Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers * Contribute to hardware/software architecture decisions together with the hardware and R&D teams, At Macq, we are committed to diversity, equal opportunities and inclusion.
