* Senior-level Data Engineering/Data Platform leadership experience
 * Strong Microsoft Fabric implementation experience
 * Excellent Azure/cloud data engineering background
 * Experience leading engineering teams and technical delivery
 * Strong understanding of data architecture, modelling, and modern lakehouse patterns
 * Experience with DevOps, CI/CD and production platform operations
 * Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
 * Experience establishing or transitioning data platforms into BAU

Technology Environment:

Microsoft Fabric | OneLake | Lakehouse | Data Warehouse | Data Pipelines | Dataflows Gen2 | Spark/PySpark | KQL | Power BI | Microsoft Purview | Entra ID | Azure | Git | CI/CD

Experience integrating enterprise applications such as Salesforce, ERP, HR, Finance and other SaaS platforms would be highly beneficial.

## Description

I'm currently looking for an experienced Head of Data Engineering/Data Engineering Leader to lead an enterprise data engineering function and drive the delivery and operationalisation of a modern Microsoft Fabric data platform., * Lead the enterprise Microsoft Fabric data engineering strategy and roadmap

 * Drive implementation across OneLake, Lakehouses, Warehouses, Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2 and Spark

 * Establish modern medallion architecture - Bronze, Silver & Gold

 * Lead data engineering teams across development, testing, release and operations

 * Implement CI/CD, Git/source control and DevOps practices

 * Drive data governance, security, lineage and access controls

 * Optimise Fabric workloads, performance and capacity/cost management

 * Integrate data from multiple enterprise platforms and SaaS applications

 * Establish sustainable BAU operating models, engineering cadence and ways of working

 * Support knowledge transfer and ensure a smooth transition into the established operating model
