This is a broad, hands-on role for someone who takes ownership rather than waits for a ticket. You'll move fluidly between day-to-day IT operations, security policy and hardening, and infrastructure/deployment engineering - picking up whatever tools and skills the problem in front of you requires. In a defence-adjacent start-up, the person in this seat isn't just keeping the lights on; you're building the operational backbone that lets a small team ship high-stakes software fast, safely, and reliably. We're not looking for someone who already has a checklist of tools memorised - we're looking for someone with the judgment, curiosity, and grit to figure out the right tool, learn it, and own it., * General IT operations - provisioning and maintaining devices, accounts, and access; onboarding/offboarding; vendor and license management; being the go-to person when something technical breaks. * Security ownership - defining and continuously improving IT security policy, access controls, and risk assessments across cloud, on-premise, and edge-deployment environments.
