You know that speed without structure creates technical debt, and you've built the habits to prevent it. You care about the craft, the architecture, and the product it powers. * You bring 3+ years of embedded software development, primarily in C and C++. You've worked hands-on with microcontrollers like STM32, built features from requirements through production, and extended existing codebases without breaking what's already there. * You're comfortable in both RTOS-based and bare-metal environments, and you debug embedded systems with patience and precision. * You have experience with multiple embedded software test levels (from unit test to system-level testing). * You write clear technical documentation, and you are able to present your work clearly to other engineers. * You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems or a related field (EQF 6+) * You're fluent in English. * You're based in the Netherlands or able to relocate independently, and you're eligible to work here without visa sponsorship (we're not registered IND sponsors). Even better if you've * Worked with TouchGFX or other (embedded) GUI frameworks. * Built or improved embedded development toolchains and workflows. * Set up testing frameworks and test automation for embedded software. ## Description Growing that fast and thriving comes down to our people. Our team is our biggest asset and one that we're proud of. We're committed to maintaining our vibrant culture as we continue to grow. About the Job: * You will work closely with hardware, multiple software layers, and product teams, bringing embedded software perspective into decisions that shape the full stack, not just your own layer. * You'll own what you build end-to-end, from first implementation to a working, well-understood system that the next engineer can confidently build on. * Help raise the bar on code quality through thoughtful reviews, shared learnings, and building standards forward together with the team. This is a full-time position - 4 days at our lovely office in Amsterdam & 1 day remote per week. ## Related Videos - [Are you still programming unit tests or already generating?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/722-are-you-still-programming-unit-tests-or-already-generating) - [Single Server, Global Reach: Running a Worldwide Marketplace on Bare Metal in a Cloud-Dominated World](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1206-single-server-global-reach-running-a-worldwide-marketplace-on-bare-metal-in-a-cloud-dominated-world) - [Resolving technical debts in software architecture](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1680-resolving-technical-debts-in-software-architecture) - [More efficient software for more efficient microchips](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1164-more-efficient-software-for-more-efficient-microchips) - [Navigating the Corporate Jungle: Life as a Developer in a large Company](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/621-navigating-the-corporate-jungle-life-as-a-developer-in-a-large-company) - [How to Avoid Tech Hype Traps - Josip Stuhli](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1817-how-to-avoid-tech-hype-traps-josip-stuhli) ## Related Articles - [How to land a developer job in Amsterdam](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/36-how-to-land-a-developer-job-in-amsterdam) - [The Netherlands – Europe’s powerhouse for software development?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/31-the-netherlands-europe-s-powerhouse-for-software-development) - [How to Find Tech Jobs in Amsterdam](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/279-how-to-find-tech-jobs-in-amsterdam) - [Where To Find Software Engineering Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/396-where-to-find-software-engineering-jobs) - [Where to Find Entry-Level Software Engineering Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/397-where-to-find-entry-level-software-engineering-jobs) - [Software Developer Salary in The Netherlands [2023]](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/217-software-developer-salary-in-the-netherlands-2023)
