Nice to Have (Preferred) * Salesforce development or administration experience (Apex, Lightning/LWC, flows, integrations). This is a plus, not a gate - we expect the right person to learn it on the job. * MuleSoft experience specifically (Anypoint Platform, DataWeave). * Experience integrating Salesforce with external / back-office systems. * ETL / data integration experience (e.g., Informatica or similar). * AWS certifications, or Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer, Integration Architect). * Experience in a regulated or enterprise environment with formal release and change-management processes. ## Description We are a Salesforce-centric organization with a modern, multi-platform engineering stack spanning Salesforce, MuleSoft, Informatica Cloud, Python, PostgreSQL, and AWS. We are looking for a seasoned engineer who is excellent at engineering fundamentals first and tied to no single platform second - someone who can operate across our ecosystem and, just as importantly, partner with the specialists already on the team. You do not need to be a Salesforce expert. You do need to be the kind of engineer other strong engineers want in the room: someone who picks up unfamiliar systems quickly, reasons about design across platforms, and can sit down with a MuleSoft or backend specialist and push their thinking forward on their own turf. Over time you will act as a senior technical anchor across our stack - writing and reviewing code, shaping technical design, and helping the team work as a unit rather than a set of parallel lanes. This role suits someone with genuine drive: curious, adaptable, and hungry to take on more over time. It is the kind of role that grows with the person in it. What You'll Do * Design, build, and maintain solutions across our stack - backend services, integrations, data flows, and (with ramp-up) Salesforce customizations. * Serve as a technical partner and advisor to specialists across the team - reasoning about MuleSoft integrations with our integration engineers, backend and data design with our database engineers, and Salesforce approaches with our platform engineers - challenging and strengthening technical decisions across domains. * Lead and elevate code reviews and technical discussion, raising the bar for quality, maintainability, and consistency, and helping establish these as everyday practice across the team. * Own and improve our deployment and release process - CI/CD pipelines, environment and branch management, and safe, repeatable production deployments. * Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems using MuleSoft and APIs. * Develop backend logic, data processing, and automation in Python; work with PostgreSQL for data modeling, queries, and performance; leverage AWS for hosting, compute, and supporting cloud services. * Explore and evaluate new technologies where they can meaningfully improve how we build. * Ramp into Salesforce development and configuration, eventually contributing to and advising on Salesforce solutions. * Troubleshoot production issues across systems and drive them to resolution. * Mentor engineers, share knowledge, and help raise the technical bar of the people around you. ## Related Videos - [Why make use of an integration platform in today's software developments and infrastructure?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/758-why-make-use-of-an-integration-platform-in-today-s-software-developments-and-infrastructure) - [Developing the Backend with Stefan Lingler, CTO at Shpock](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100360-developing-the-backend-with-stefan-lingler-cto-at-shpock) - [How a Small Team Shrank a Microsoft Monorepo by 94%](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1236-how-a-small-team-shrank-a-microsoft-monorepo-by-94) - [Why Your Best Mediors Never Become Seniors (And How to Fix It)](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/2108-why-your-best-mediors-never-become-seniors-and-how-to-fix-it) - [Nest.js - TypeScript in the backend can also be clean](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1033-nest-js-typescript-in-the-backend-can-also-be-clean) - [Navigating the Corporate Jungle: Life as a Developer in a large Company](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/621-navigating-the-corporate-jungle-life-as-a-developer-in-a-large-company) ## Related Articles - [Highest Paying Tech Companies for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/220-highest-paying-tech-companies-for-developers) - [Fully Remote Software Engineer Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/447-fully-remote-software-engineer-jobs) - [Is Software Engineering Hard?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/448-is-software-engineering-hard) - [Is Software Engineering Over-Saturated?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/418-is-software-engineering-over-saturated) - [Why Upskilling And Reskilling is Important For Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/428-why-upskilling-and-reskilling-is-important-for-developers) - [The 12 Best Jobs for Software Engineers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/401-the-12-best-jobs-for-software-engineers)
