## About the Role

* 3+ years of professional software-engineering experience building production services.
 * Proficiency in at least one backend language (Go, Rust, Python, Java, etc.) and familiarity with a cloud platform (AWS or equivalent).
 * Solid fundamentals in data structures, concurrency, API design, and testing.
 * Experience debugging real production problems and a willingness to carry an on-call rotation.
 * Working familiarity with observability tooling and comfort reading dashboards, logs, and traces.
 * Ability to break down an ambiguous task, ask good questions, and drive it to done.
 * Clear written and verbal communication, and a genuine interest in learning from feedback.

## Description

* Build, ship, and operate features and services in Flag Delivery's streaming and polling infrastructure.
 * Own well-scoped projects end to end: design, implementation, rollout, and the operational tail.
 * Investigate and fix production issues, participating in the team's on-call rotation with support.
 * Write maintainable, well-tested code and take part in code and design reviews.
 * Improve the observability and reliability of the code you own.
 * Collaborate with SDK Engineering, Data Platform, and product-engineering teams on work that crosses boundaries.
 * Grow your depth in distributed systems and production operations with mentorship from senior engineers.
