## About the Role

* Experience in an IT engineering or network support role
 * IP networking: routing, switching, VLANs, subnetting, DHCP and DNS
 * Practical wireless configuration and troubleshooting
 * Methodical fault-finding and the ability to work unsupervised on site
 * A record of completing assigned work without needing to be chased. We are a small team and unfinished jobs return as callouts.
 * Full UK driving licence

Desirable

 * Vendor certifications (Cisco, Ubiquiti, Cambium, Peplink, MikroTik, CompTIA or equivalent)
 * Fixed wireless or satellite experience; RF planning and link budgeting

## Description

Engineering work across customer installations and internal systems. Jobs are assigned to you from survey through to handover and you are responsible for seeing them through.

 * Install, configure and commission routers, switches, access points and PtP/PtMP links
 * Site surveys and WiFi design for commercial and hospitality sites
 * Second and third-line fault diagnosis, from customer premises to core network
 * Work on Starlink, SD-WAN, private 5G, LoRaWAN and IoT deployments
 * Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams and asset records
 * Out-of-hours support rota
