## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience in data architecture or systems design
 * Demonstrated experience designing data architectures within distributed systems, cloud platforms or enterprise environments
 * Technical proficiency in SQL, data pipeline design and data quality analysis
 * Working knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS or GCP)
 * Experience with containerisation and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) or CI/CD practices
 * Strong stakeholder engagement and data requirements gathering skills
 * Authorization to work in the United Kingdom

Nice-to-have

 * Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
 * Experience with SAP systems (S/4HANA, ECC, RISE) or legacy enterprise applications
 * Familiarity with microservices architectures, APIs and modern integration patterns
 * Knowledge of data governance, CSDR compliance or quality management systems
 * Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform) or scripting (Bash, Python)
 * Understanding of BPMN, UML or enterprise architecture frameworks

## Description

* Designing data architectures that support scalable, distributed systems across cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) and on-premises environments
 * Defining data pipelines, integration patterns and API strategies to align with business and technical requirements
 * Collaborating with stakeholders to gather and translate data requirements into technical specifications
 * Ensuring data quality standards, governance frameworks and compliance controls are embedded in architecture design
 * Working with engineering teams to implement solutions using technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, microservices and CI/CD practices
 * Supporting pipeline alignment and performance optimisation across SQL databases and data processing systems
