You are hands-on with SQL and comfortable working through imperfect operational data. You can define the unit of analysis, choose cohorts and denominators, validate data sources, size problems and explain uncertainty. You can map complex processes, identify bottlenecks and failure modes, and determine which changes are likely to have the greatest impact. You have led change across Product, Engineering, Data, Operations and Risk or Compliance teams - not only produced analysis or recommendations. You are strong at structured problem solving and can turn ambiguity into clear plans, metrics, decisions, and follow-through. You are comfortable working with data and SQL. You can define useful KPIs, choose denominators and time windows, segment intelligently, and explain limitations. You have led complex cross-functional implementations involving technical, operational, risk, compliance, data, or partner stakeholders. You can distinguish between a process problem, a policy problem, a data problem, and a product or engineering problem. You write clearly and can create documentation that helps teams make decisions and execute. You can influence without formal authority and stay calm when priorities, requirements, or ownership are unclear. Strong additional signals Experience in fintech or another regulated, operationally complex industry is useful, but not required. We care more about analytical depth, sound judgement and evidence that you have made complex processes work better. Experience with partner integrations, platform businesses, API-led operations, or B2B2x workflows. Experience improving operations through automation, workflow redesign, routing, dashboards, internal tooling, AI/LLM-assisted processes, or data-quality improvements. Experience with control monitoring, operational QA, assurance, incident analysis, remediation, or audit-ready documentation. Experience working with globally distributed teams or multi-market rollout playbooks. ## Description We are looking for an Implementation Manager to bring analytical rigour and process discipline to Wise Platform Verification. You will use data to understand how verification works across partners, identify the biggest sources of friction and operational cost, and lead improvements from diagnosis through implementation and measurement. Your mission is to turn complex partner-verification problems into measurable implementation plans, trusted metrics, clear operating models, repeatable rollout playbooks, and automation opportunities. You will work across Product, Engineering, Analytics, Product Compliance, Risk, Partner Due Diligence and Operations teams, regional teams, and partner-facing teams to make sure verification changes launch safely, work operationally, and are measured after release. This is not a coordinator-only role. You will create structure where it does not exist yet: map processes, define KPIs, identify root causes, challenge data quality, build launch scorecards, design operating cadences, and help move manual workflows toward automation. What you will own Map Wise Platform verification processes end to end, including partner models, control triggers, evidence flows, operational routing, RFIs, exceptions, and recovery paths. Identify process and automation opportunities that reduce manual review, avoidable partner RFIs, misrouting, operational rework, and partner/customer disruption. Define implementation plans for high-priority verification changes, including scope, owners, milestones, risks, launch gates, runbooks, training, adoption, monitoring, and escalation paths. Build trusted KPI definitions, dashboards, launch scorecards, and weekly/monthly performance narratives that help the team make decisions. Partner with Analytics and Data Science to validate data quality, segment impact, size populations, measure outcomes, and distinguish true performance changes from reporting or process artifacts. Partner with Engineering to turn operational needs into implementable requirements while understanding technical constraints, dependencies, rollout paths, and migration risks. Partner with Product Compliance, Risk, and Ops to make sure process changes meet control objectives, remain auditable, and work for the teams reviewing cases. Support automation and process migration work, including moving fragile manual processes and legacy workflows toward scalable product or platform patterns. Lead root-cause analysis for operational issues and partner-impacting verification pain points, then track fixes to closure and prevent recurrence through standards, monitoring, and documentation. What success looks like in the first 6-12 months: WPV has clearer process maps and ownership for the highest-impact partner verification workflows. High-priority process changes launch with implementation plans, metrics, launch gates, runbooks, monitoring, and adoption tracking. Manual review and partner RFI pain points are sized, prioritised, and converted into a practical automation or process-improvement backlog. Partner Due Diligence, Operations, and partner-facing teams have clearer routing, context, escalation paths, and feedback loops. The team can trust its core operating metrics and use them for prioritisation, launch readiness, and post-launch learning. Operational incidents and recurring process issues lead to documented root causes, owners, fixes, and prevention mechanisms. Legacy process or service ownership issues are mapped and sequenced with clear migration or handover plans. This role gives you the opportunity to: Work on one of the most important scaling problems for Wise Platform. Build the operating system for partner verification across product, engineering, compliance, risk, data, and operations. Improve how partners and their customers move through verification, while keeping controls robust and auditable. Turn manual and fragmented workflows into measurable, repeatable, automatable processes. Become an expert in partner verification, operational automation, risk controls, and platform-scale implementation. ## Related Videos - [Creating a routing app with Google Maps API from scratch](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/831-creating-a-routing-app-with-google-maps-api-from-scratch) - [Data Science in Retail](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/586-data-science-in-retail) - [A walkthrough on Responsible AI Frameworks and Case Studies](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/509-a-walkthrough-on-responsible-ai-frameworks-and-case-studies) - [Inside Bitpanda's Tech Stack: Scaling a European Fintech Leader - Markus Dorner](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1979-inside-bitpanda-s-tech-stack-scaling-a-european-fintech-leader-markus-dorner) - [Algorithmic Bias- Preventing Unfairness in your Algorithms](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/43-algorithmic-bias-preventing-unfairness-in-your-algorithms) - [A Technical Introduction to Bitcoin's 2nd Layer- The Lightning Network](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/15-a-technical-introduction-to-bitcoin-s-2nd-layer-the-lightning-network) ## Related Articles - [Navigating the AI Shift](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/629-navigating-the-ai-shift) - [Trustworthy AI Starts at Deployment: 5 Checks Before You Ship](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/753-trustworthy-ai-starts-at-deployment-5-checks-before-you-ship) - [Coffee with Developers - Maria Apazoglou - Making AI understandable for all in production](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/475-coffee-with-developers-maria-apazoglou-making-ai-understandable-for-all-in-production) - [Your AI coding tool is getting used.
