## About the Role

* Strong experience designing and architecting data systems, data pipelines or data platforms
 * Working knowledge of cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP) and associated services
 * Hands-on experience with data pipeline tools, ETL approaches and data integration patterns
 * SQL proficiency and experience with relational or analytical databases
 * Understanding of microservices architecture, APIs and distributed systems design
 * Ability to communicate data technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
 * Experience in data requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement

Nice-to-have

 * Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
 * Experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
 * Familiarity with cloud-native data services or modern data stack tools
 * Background in data quality analysis or data governance frameworks
 * Experience with SAP environments (S/4HANA, ECC, RISE)

## Description

Roles of this type may sit within technology-driven organisations undertaking data modernisation initiatives, system integrations or cloud migration programmes. The work could involve partnering with engineering, data science and business stakeholders to define data architectures that support both current operational needs and future scalability, with scope to influence technical direction within defined data platform workstreams., * Designing and documenting data architectures that support microservices, API-driven and distributed system environments

 * Collaborating with stakeholders to gather and validate data requirements, ensuring alignment between technical solutions and business needs
 * Leading data pipeline design and integration work across cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP
 * Establishing data quality standards and governance approaches, with responsibility for communicating data requirements to engineering teams
 * Working with CI/CD and infrastructure tooling (Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform) to enable automated, scalable data deployments
 * Contributing to technical decisions around database design, data warehouse approaches and analytical data structures
