Most importantly, you'll be someone who takes pride in delivering a reliable IT service, supports those around you and is always looking for ways to make things better. ## Description Keep our technology connected, reliable and ready, You could be investigating an infrastructure incident, monitoring the performance of our systems, supporting a major change or working with a supplier to resolve a complex issue. You might be maintaining technology in our server room, supporting Azure Cloud services or travelling to another site to carry out essential maintenance or an installation. You'll work across a broad technology landscape, including Microsoft and Windows Server technologies, Azure Cloud, physical infrastructure, hypervisors, storage, networking and telephony. Alongside the day-to-day, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to projects and service improvements-helping us introduce new technology, strengthen resilience and find better ways of working. And you won't be doing it alone. You'll work closely with colleagues across Information Systems, teams throughout the Society and our third-party suppliers, bringing your technical expertise and problem-solving skills to the challenges that matter. Where technical expertise makes a real difference You'll take ownership of keeping our core infrastructure reliable and available, while helping us continuously improve the services we provide. You'll focus on: * Supporting and maintaining core server, storage, networking and infrastructure services within an ITIL-aligned environment, while monitoring performance and proactively identifying potential issues * Investigating incidents and escalated issues, supporting major incident resolution, Root Cause Analysis and second-line infrastructure support * Supporting infrastructure changes and technology projects, working with colleagues, suppliers and third parties to resolve complex issues and maintain service continuity * Maintaining clear technical documentation, identifying opportunities to improve infrastructure performance and availability, and continuing to build knowledge through training, new technologies and industry best practice Because this role isn't simply about fixing what's broken.
