* Strong commercial experience as a Data Engineer
 * Strong SQL / T-SQL and data modelling experience
 * Experience with SQL Server / Azure SQL
 * Experience building and managing data pipelines
 * Experience with Azure Data Factory or similar
 * Good understanding of data quality, governance and security
 * Experience working with large and complex datasets
 * Strong problem-solving and communication skills
 * Experience with Azure cloud technologies
 * Experience with Cosmos DB, Power BI, Docker and Terraform would be beneficial

## Description

* Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines
 * Own the ingestion and processing of large national datasets
 * Develop data models, reporting databases and analytical datasets
 * Build automated data quality checks and monitoring
 * Improve the performance, reliability and cost of data workloads
 * Work closely with Product and Engineering teams on data requirements
 * Support data governance, security and compliance
 * Help shape data architecture and mentor other engineers
