Agent guide: [/agents.md](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/agents.md). --- # DevOps Manager - **Company:** Eurobase - **Location:** Chelmsford, UK - **Contract:** Permanent contract - **Skills:** Microsoft Azure, DevOps, Release Management, Software Deployment, Technical Debt, Git, Kubernetes, Deployment Automation, Performance Monitor, Bicep, Terraform, Api Management, Atlassian Bamboo, Docker - **Published:** August 4, 2026 - **Apply:** https://uk.indeed.com/viewjob?jk=7fa078899b50dfbb ## About the Role * Deep, recent Microsoft Azure experience, particularly Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines, Azure infrastructure and ideally Azure APIM. * Proven experience taking legacy or manual deployment processes through to automated CI/CD pipelines. * The ability to explain technical work in granular detail, including how they would design a pipeline from scratch and troubleshoot a failed deployment. * Strong Infrastructure as Code experience, particularly Terraform, Bicep or ARM. * Kubernetes, Docker and container-platform experience. * Experience leading a mixed team of permanent employees and contractors. * Genuine people-management capability, including coaching, performance management, training and closing skills gaps within the team. * The ability to introduce governance without simply blocking activity, particularly around production access and deployment controls. * Senior stakeholder engagement, budget ownership, FinOps and cloud-cost management. * Security-testing and observability experience. * Ideally, experience working in a software company or software-product environment, rather than exclusively within internal enterprise IT teams. * A candidate who wants permanent employment and sees the position as a long-term career move. ## Description The DevOps Manager leads our release and deployment function for the Insurance division. Historically a hands-on, manually-driven role, deployment has evolved significantly with the introduction of automation across our environments. The Release Manager now leads this next stage: providing a fast, stable, and reliable release engine that allows development, support, and project teams to deliver to clients with confidence and speed. The role combines strong technical depth in deployment automation with people leadership, building a team capable of sustaining and improving that engine over time.
