We want a senior engineer who helps shape what we build and why, leads delivery through ambiguity, and sets a high bar for engineering craft. You will work closely with Product and Design to define solutions, work through scope, risks, and open questions, make thoughtful tradeoffs, and ship experiences that are technically excellent and delightful to use., * Lead end-to-end delivery of high-impact, complex initiatives. Own technical execution from problem framing and scoping through implementation, launch, and iteration - across Front's client-side surfaces (Web, Desktop via Electron, and Mobile) and the backend services, APIs, and data systems behind them. Drive decisions and deliver reliably and on time. * Drive technical direction across the stack. Influence architecture, state management, API design, and performance strategy for high-traffic, distributed workflows like inbox triage, message rendering, and composition - reasoning across systems, services, and stacks to make sound tradeoffs. * Champion UX craft and product thinking. Hold a high bar for interaction details, accessibility, and polish. Advocate for the user and improve experiences based on feedback and metrics. * Partner deeply with Product and Design. Collaborate early to shape requirements, identify risks, surface open questions, propose alternatives, and align on tradeoffs. Communicate clearly and proactively with cross-functional stakeholders. * Raise the bar for quality and maintainability. Improve testing, observability, and engineering standards across frontend and backend. Reduce regressions and enable faster iteration through better tooling and code health. * Grow others and strengthen the team. Give and receive feedback well, provide mentorship and constructive code review, share best practices, and help create a collaborative, low-ego engineering culture. ## Related Videos - [API Design - Getting Started](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/33-api-design-getting-started) - [Developing the Backend with Stefan Lingler, CTO at Shpock](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100360-developing-the-backend-with-stefan-lingler-cto-at-shpock) - [Are Code Reviews Worth It?
