Preferred Qualifications · A degree in information technology or a related field, and/or one or more industry certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+. · Internship or practical experience specifically within a small business or mission-driven nonprofit organization. · Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts and incident response procedures. · Experience with IT documentation and knowledge management practices. Work ENVIRONMENT and Schedule This is an on-site position at MEDA's office in North Minneapolis. Remote and/or hybrid arrangements are not available. In-person presence is essential, including direct interaction with colleagues and hands-on support of physical technology assets. Expect occasional lifting or moving of equipment (up to 40 pounds) and work in varied spaces, including utility areas, under workstations, and server/data closets. The weekly schedule is fixed once set at hire. ## Description The IT Help Desk Coordinator is the first point of contact for day-to-day technology issues at MEDA, providing front-line, in-person support as part of a two-person IT department. These entry-level, part-time role suits candidates who have recently completed, or are completing, an IT-related degree or trade program, offering hands-on experience and room to grow. Essential functions Service Delivery and End User Support: Provide in-person, hands-on Tier 1 help desk support during scheduled hours, including remote assistance (e.g., screen-sharing or remote-desktop tools) for staff at other locations, escalating complex issues to the IT Director or MSP. Support IT onboarding and offboarding (account, equipment, and access provisioning) and assist with end-user training on technology tools. Infrastructure and Asset Support: Troubleshoot workstations, peripherals, and network equipment, escalating complex issues to the MSP as needed. Maintain basic physical infrastructure (cabling, equipment setup) and support asset inventory, deployment, and imaging. Documentation: Maintain help desk records, troubleshooting guides, and standard operating procedures.
