Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship. ## Description Under the direction of the supervisor, Systems and Database Services, ensure access to State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio (STRS Ohio) data by maintaining the availability, performance and integrity of databases, Windows and UNIX operating systems, design and implement departmental standards and procedures and leverage artificial intelligence tools and platforms to enhance database administration, automation and operational efficiency., * Proactively research and establish installation, upgrade and maintenance procedures for supported database systems. * Research, design and develop security schemes for supported database systems. * Execute database backup and recovery. * Develop, test and implement database maintenance jobs. * Develop methods and procedures for monitoring databases and systems to pinpoint and resolve database and system problems. * Leverage AI-assisted tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude and Claude Code to accelerate database administration tasks including code generation, troubleshooting and documentation. (Grade 13 AI Only) * Design, build and deploy AI agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio for departmental and enterprise use cases. - (Grade 13 AI Only) * Stay current with emerging AI technologies and evaluate their applicability to database systems administration, design, and performance optimization. - (Grade 13 AI Only) * Apply preventative database and system maintenance patches. * Provide after-hours (24/7) on-call support, including weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.
