## About the Role

* 2-4 years of hands-on IT support or field service experience.
 * Practical knowledge of computer hardware assembly, disassembly, and repair.
 * Proficiency with Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and common business applications.
 * Familiarity with antivirus tools, firewalls, and security best practices.
 * Understanding of business networking, including switches, routers, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
 * Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and file sharing.
 * Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across software, hardware, and network layers.
 * Valid Florida driver's license and reliable vehicle for travel between client sites., * CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certifications (or equivalent experience).
 * Previous MSP experience highly desirable.
 * Basic understanding of virtualization platforms (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware).
 * Comfortable working independently in client environments.
 * Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) Certification a Plus

## Description

The IT Field Service Technician serves as a critical onsite liaison between Lansight and our Broward-area clients. You'll provide hands-on technical support, perform system maintenance, troubleshoot hardware and network issues, and ensure smooth, secure operations for client environments. This role is ideal for a self-motivated technician who enjoys working directly with clients, resolving complex problems, and maintaining strong customer relationships., * Provide onsite and remote technical support for client systems, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.

 * Diagnose, repair, and maintain computer hardware and software; perform installations, configurations, and updates.
 * Troubleshoot advanced desktop, VPN, and networking issues, escalating when appropriate.
 * Execute physical network work such as running cables, setting up patch panels, and rack installations.
 * Perform data backup, system restores, and security remediation tasks as needed.
 * Support entry-level server functions, including Active Directory management, Group Policy, and file sharing.
 * Ensure accurate documentation of all work, updates, and client communications in the PSA system.
 * Follow Lansight's SOPs and KB documentation to ensure consistency and compliance.
 * Maintain positive client relationships through excellent communication and professionalism.
