Prior work experience at UCSF, Benioff Children's Hospital - Oakland or other academic Medical Centers is preferred., * Bachelor's degree in health care information technology, computer science, or related area, and/or equivalent combination of experience/training. * One to two years of relevant work experience * Working knowledge of clinical applications systems and functions, including development, implementation, user support, maintenance, and system testing and evaluation. * Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose problems and develop multiple options for effective and timely resolution of issues and problems. * Demonstrated interpersonal and customer-service skills to collaborate productively on a team and to provide training and support to clinical providers and staff. * Detail-oriented, with demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently, prioritize tasks, set schedules, and complete projects in a timely and cost-effective manner. * Demonstrated skills in written and verbal communications, with the ability to convey technical information to clinical users in a clear and concise manner. * Working knowledge of departmental systems and procedures for documentation and reporting, with the ability to perform tests, analyze, and interpret relevant data. * Ability to work with senior staff and managers, serving as a technical resource and providing advice and counsel on issues of functionality, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, policy, and performance., * Certified Lab Specialist (CLS) or equivalent license * CERTIFICATIONS + Beaker Clinical Pathology (CP) + Beaker Anatomic Pathology (AP) ## Description United States, California, San Francisco 2001 The Embarcadero (Show on map) Aug 05, 2026 Certain terms and conditions of employment for this position, including the rate of pay, benefits, etc., are currently subject to negotiation with the appropriate union. The APeX Beaker Analyst position will report directly to the APeX Beaker Team Lead/Supervisor and up through the APeX LIS Manager. The APeX Beaker P2 Analyst will work in collaboration with senior Beaker analysts, other APeX application teams, clinical/business operations, and guides to enhance and maintain the Epic electronic health record. The P2 analyst provides excellent customer service to end users, tracks issues, and follows up as appropriate.
