We're seeking a talented Senior .NET Software Engineer with strong MSSQL database chops to join our team as a contractor. You'll split your time between building and modernizing .NET web applications and serving as a go-to technical escalation point for complex, high-stakes database issues. You'll collaborate with our fractional team, project managers, and clients directly, translating ambiguous requirements and vague bug reports into clear technical solutions. You should thrive in high-stakes environments where accuracy is paramount, bring a "first-time right" mindset to production changes, and be comfortable moving between application development and deep database troubleshooting depending on what the day calls for. Responsibilities Application Development * Lead the design, development, and deployment of robust web applications using the .NET framework. * Reverse-engineer existing scripts and modernize legacy .NET applications to current .NET Core/8 standards. * Design and implement logic for complex data movement jobs, including OCR integration and REST API management. * Write clean, scalable, well-documented code in C#, and collaborate with project managers and clients to gather requirements and define specifications.
