## About the Role

The ideal candidate will hold an active security clearance and possess a strong background in Linux engineering, demonstrating the following skills and experience:

 * Experience supporting enterprise Linux platforms in secure public sector environments.
 * Extensive knowledge of system stability, performance, security, and troubleshooting across various Linux-based services.
Significant experience in delivering Linux-based development activities, including building and maintaining development environments, as well as containerising applications and services.

 * Demonstrated experience with Agile and DevOps working practices.
 * Familiarity with virtualised networking principles and platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V.
 * A solid understanding of common services, applications, and protocols, including HTTPS, SSH, DNS, NTP, and SSL.
 * Experience with the open-source automation tool Ansible.
 * Experience working in a cloud infrastructure environment, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
 * Proficiency in managing Ceph storage or Linux storage environments.
 * Desirable qualifications include: RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator), Red Hat Certified Engineer, or LFCS (Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator).
