## About the Role

* Background in precision engineering.
 * Good problem-solving skills.
 * Self-motivated and good communication, attention to detail.
 * Organised, able to plan ahead and good ability to follow written procedures.
 * Ability to work to tight tolerances using hand tools and measuring equipment, * Apprentice trained.
 * Good understanding of mechanical component drawings and assemblies.
 * Previous experience in spindle assembly.
 * Good understanding of testing electrical motors and fault finding.
 * Previous experience with vernier callipers, depth mics, force gauges and micrometers.
 * IT skills, and previous experience with Microsoft packages

## Description

The role is to repair broken Mazak spindles to new standards and will involve various assembly tasks related to spindle build such as:

 * Precision measuring of spindle components.
 * Precision assembly and adjustment related to Mazak work instructions.
 * Carrying out various quality checks during the assembly process involving precision equipment such as micrometers, test bars, dial test indicators, clamp force and axial force gauges.
 * Balancing of spindle cartridges.
 * Electrical checks of stators (new and re-used/repaired) to ensure conformance to standard Mazak check sheets.
 * Some electrical assembly work is required however the role is mainly mechanically focused.
