The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, and IBM z/OS technologies, along with a passion for solving complex technical and business challenges., * 5+ years of IBM z/OS mainframe application development experience. * Strong proficiency in COBOL and JCL programming. * Experience supporting and troubleshooting production mainframe applications. * Experience with mainframe batch processing, job scheduling, and job execution analysis. * Experience using mainframe debugging, testing, and diagnostic tools. * Experience working in financial services, banking, or other high-volume transaction processing environments. * Knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies and application support processes. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex production issues. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Bonus if you have: * Experience with FIS Systematics applications. * Experience with AM-ALS (Advanced Lending System), TX (Tax), and/or GN (Architecture Systems) modules. * Experience with CICS, DB2, VSAM, IDCAMS, Sort, File Manager, Abend-AID, XPEDITOR, or similar mainframe tools. * Experience with Assembler programming. * Familiarity with mainframe performance tuning and capacity planning. * Experience supporting large financial institutions and core banking systems. ## Description Our team is responsible for the development, maintenance, and production support of mission-critical IBM z/OS mainframe applications, including FIS Systematics and proprietary banking systems supporting a Large Financial Institution (LFI) client.
