You will oversee system integration, hardware bring-up, firmware development, part validation, and manage the product lifecycle from prototype to mass production., * Partner with electrical engineers to select components based on system needs, specifically focusing on microcontrollers (MCUs), communication interfaces, and power management units. * Support the integration of hardware, firmware, and software systems to ensure reliable overall system operation. Hardware Bring-Up * Bring up new hardware platforms and debug standard interfaces including SPI, I2C, UART, as well as communication protocols such as CAN Bus, RS-485, and Modbus. * Troubleshoot hardware and firmware issues to ensure reliable connectivity and system operation. Firmware & System Logic * Develop low-level drivers and firmware. * Design and implement robust Finite State Machines (FSMs) to manage system behavior and safety states. * Develop firmware with consideration for system reliability, performance, and real-time constraints. Power & Efficiency * Develop and implement protocols to optimize energy consumption for battery-powered systems and sensors. Cross-Functional Collaboration * Work with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to integrate hardware and firmware into complete systems. * Collaborate across engineering disciplines to troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues.
