They are considered experts in their field as well as the applications they support and are often sought out by other teams to assist in product delivery. The Product Owner represents business needs and priorities, prioritizes and manages the product backlog, assigns points to stories based on their knowledge of the system, recommends developers for backlog items based on knowledge of the developer's experience, and incorporates feedback from business stakeholders to guide continuous product improvement.
