Minimum Requirements: * High School Diploma or equivalent * Computer Skills Needed ## Description As a PreMedia - Operator, you are responsible for building, preparing, and outputting files for print according to the specifications and instructions given by the customer and Customer Service Representative., * Create digital templates using Preps. * Preflight, inspect and troubleshoot digital files for final output. * Prepare and process digital files for print production using industry-standard software (Adobe Creative Suite, PitStop, Prinergy, etc.) * Create Imposition of PDF files and approve using Virtual Proofing System (VPS). * Communicate with internal team members. * Perform file maintenance for safe keeping and easy retrieval. * Check imposition and page proofs for completeness, identification, and proper imposition according to customer and company instructions. * Review customer revisions/corrections against imposition to ensure completion. * Determine if preceding departments have followed proper planning procedures to meet manufacturing requirements. * Read and understand prepress tickets to check work for release to production. * Coordinate to produce and prioritize jobs and when necessary, reorganize to meet deadline changes and updates. * Follow company guidelines when inspecting proofs (digital and hard copy). * Prepare hard copy proofs for shipment to customer - rule up, trim, package, etc. * AS400 and/or Monarch entries. * Maintain release records for job movements and production log and print out pre-press tickets. * All other duties as assigned (see addendum for facilities with no CTP department)., * Maintain proper plate calibration and imaging settings to ensure optimal print quality. * Maintain Prepress output systems (Kodak Magnus, Fuji Processors, and Epson proofers). * Output and verify plates using CTP systems ## Related Videos - [Can CSS recreate Tufte's designs?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/517-can-css-recreate-tufte-s-designs) - [Building with IBM Bob](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100275-building-with-ibm-bob) - [Securing your application software supply-chain](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/468-securing-your-application-software-supply-chain) - [Hands-on Journey to Quantum Computing with IBM](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/137-hands-on-journey-to-quantum-computing-with-ibm) - [Coding for Good: Achieving social change with an app](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1645-coding-for-good-achieving-social-change-with-an-app) - [Can This Elephant Dance?
